This Travan 8GB cartridge (4GB native) conforms to the QIC-3095-MC format standard. It contains 740 feet of high capacity 900 an Oe Gamma Ferric Oxide magnetic medium, which is tested for 50, 800 flux transitions per inch. It is Black Watch backcoated to provide data protection against static, wound-in debris, and instantaneous speed variations. It has a patented no end play hub design for fewer system errors, a continuously-molded corner roller that provides consistent drive force and creates less noise, and a one-piece tape guide that improves tracking. Its patented Dura-Stat drive roller dissipates static and extends cartridge life.
