The hub is designed to operate free-standing or rack-mounted in a standard-size 19-inch wiring closet rack. All ports auto-negotiate port speed, making them good for offices with a mix of Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) connections for desktops and office servers and older desktops still running at Ethernet (10 Mbps) speeds. This baseline hub is designed for small to mid-size networks and branch offices.
