The OfficeConnect series is a group of hubs that have been optimized and designed for small Ethernet workgroups. The OfficeConnect hub 8/TPO is an entry-level model that provides the greatest economy for those who want simple yet powerful networking. It has eight 10Base-T RJ-45 twisted-pair ports and also has a MDI/MDIX switch to allow connection of either a workstation or another Ethernet hub for up to a maximum of 4 hubs in series. Cascading the hubs in this way will require the use of one of the RJ-45 ports, but allows for expansion and the addition of network functions such as print and fax services.
