Scorpion 8 can back up to 4GB of uncompressed data and 8GB of compressed data (using 120 meter tapes). It features a 1100KB per second transfer rate, a high-performance 1MB buffer, and a 40 second seek time. It is compatible with most popular operating systems. Scorpion 8 uses the Helical Scan recording method. Helical Scan heads record data at an angle, rather than in a straight line which takes advantage the entire width of the tape. Don't take chances with your important data - back it up with a Seagate tape drive.
