Description

The PathBuilder Wan Access Switches CBR (constant bit rate) interface module services traffic generated by users’ existing private branch exchanges, channel banks, T1/E1 multiplexers, Carrier/Data Service Units, and video devices. Using this module, the PathBuilder Wan Access Switch converts CBR traffic from premises equipment to ATM according to the ATM Forum’s Circuit Emulation Service (CES) specifications, supporting both structured and unstructured modes. In this way, you can move more rapidly to ATM while preserving your investment in existing equipment and avoiding costly equipment upgrades.
